Illinois Insurance Prices up for Some Under Health Care Law

CHICAGO (AP) — Many Illinois consumers are seeing higher prices for health insurance entering the third year of President Barack Obama’s health care law. Monday is the first day people can see 2016 prices on, where thousands of Illinoisan buy coverage. Dave Axene of the Society of Actuaries says some insurers underpriced their plans the last two years and now are raising prices. Prices depend on where people live.
