Comptroller Munger Urging Lawmakers to Solve Budget Crisis

Illinois Comptroller Leslie Munger is urging state lawmakers to solve the state budget crisis.  Munger spoke during an appearance on Tuesday at the Moline Illinois City hall, saying that “time is running out.” During her speech, Munger stated that the total amount of unpaid bills by the state could reach over eight-billion-dollars by year’s end.  The state has been operating without a budget since the beginning of July.
