City of Carbondale Ready to Announce New Chief of Police

The oncoming Chief replaces former Chief of Polie Jody O’Guin, who was fired last August after being involved in several high-profile cases during his five-year term. Deputy Chief Jeff Grubbs, who has served as Chief of Police since O’Guin’s firing, was named as one of the two finalists. The other has not been publicly identified.
