A popular eatery in Chester is destroyed after a fire early yesterday morning. Fire Crews were called to Wally’s, a restaurant on State Street at around 2 yesterday morning. Fire fighters say that the fire started in the basement of the building but that it was unsafe to fight. The fire eventually spread throughout the building, collapsing the roof. The building is considered a total loss, but no injuries are being reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshall.
