Elkville Man Receives 80-Years in Prison for Child’s Murder

Jarrod Rudder, the Elkville man convicted of first degree murder in a case involving a two-year old is set to spend the next 80-years behind bars after sentencing yesterday. Rudder was sentenced in Jackson County yesterday after being found guilty in the 2012 death of his girlfriend at the time’s 2-year-old son, in which Rudder admitted swinging the child by the arm into a wall. Rudder will not be eligible for parole and must serve 100% of his sentence.
