Carbondale Man Pleads Guilty to Aggravated DUI

23-year-old Seth Lloyd of Carbondale is facing up to 14-years in prison after pleading guilty to causing a fatal accident while driving under the influence. The accident happened last November when Lloyd struck Matthew Dierker, who was riding his bicycle on the side of the road. Dierker, 33, later died in a St. Louis area hospital. Lloyd admitted to police that he had been drinking and was also texting when the accident happened. A sentencing date has not been set.
