West Nile Virus Found in Jackson County

West Nile Virus is back in Southern Illinois, as a batch of positive testing mosquitoes has been found in Jackson County. According to a report from the Jackson County Health Department, the bugs were collected Friday near Murphysboro. They say that this is the time of year to take precautions against mosquito bites, as the mosquitos, and the virus multiply faster during the hottest months of the year.
