Chicago Man Sentenced in Jackson County Drug Arrest

Anton Williams of Chicago is set to spend the next six years behind bars after being sentenced in connection to dealing cocaine in Jackson County. According to Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael Carr, the charges stem from a February incident that occurred on or about Feb. 12, when the Carbondale Police Department sent an informant to purchase drugs from Williams. Williams was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, and in addition to the six year sentence, he will also serve 2 years of supervised release.
