Carbondale Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Robbery

Raymond McCollum of Carbondale is set to spend the next 8-years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery in connection to a January incident. According to Jackson County court records, McCollum pushed a man into his own apartment before showing a handgun and demanding money. The man, who is a native of India gave McCollum $200 worth of Indian Rupees and was able to get McCollum out of the apartment before calling police. McCollum was arrested a short time later, and will also serve 2-years of supervised release at the end of his 8-year term.
