West City Mayor Charles Cockrum says he resigning as the village’s mayor due to family reasons. According to Barry Wright at WQRL in Benton, Cockrum says he will be calling a special meeting for the board to accept his resignation and appoint his replacement. It’s not known at this time as to when this meeting will take place.
