Lady Antebellum’s Hilary Scott Surives Bus Fire

Lady Antebellum member Hillary Scott is counting her blessings after her tour bus caught on fire yesterday (Thursday, April 16th). The singer, her husband, her tour manager and the bus’ driver were all evacuated safely before the entire rear of the bus was destroyed in the blaze.

According to reports, the fire was sparked by a rear tire that blew out while Hillary and crew were en route from Nashville to Dallas where Lady A is set to perform at the ACM Awards on Sunday (April 19th).

Hillary shared some photos on Instagram, captioning one shot of the burned out bus with, “Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!!”

Hillary lost all her personal possessions that she kept in the rear lounge of the bus except for one. She wrote, “I kid you not, EVERYTHING in the back lounge was destroyed from the flames, except my Bible. The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing. Yall, God’s Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours.”
