Eric Church is playing hardball with merchandisers selling unlicensed T-shirts outside of his concerts. The Tennessean reports the singer filed a lawsuit in federal court on Tuesday (March 10th) to put a stop to these bootleg merchandisers. Eric is seeking an injunction against “Jane and John Does” to prevent the continued illegal sales as well as unspecified monetary damages from their previous sales.
This is not Eric’s first go-around with bootleggers. He filed a similar lawsuit in 2012.
He also waged war against ticket scalpers last year, identifying nearly a thousand tickets purchased by scalpers, canceling their sales and putting them back on sale for his fans.
