According to People Magazine, Country star Faith Hill has undergone surgery to correct damage from an injury sustained a few years ago.
The neck surgery was a procedure known as an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. Anterior cervical discectomy may be performed to relieve neck pain and other pain due to spinal cord or nerve root pressure from a cervical disc herniation.
People’s unnamed source added that Faith Hill has now had multiple surgeries for this issue, the first was to the back of her neck in 2011. She is currently undergoing physical therapy, and recovery is said to be going well.
Even though she still has the battle wound, Faith attended the 2015 Grammy Awards with her husband Tim Mcgraw. “She looks pretty hot, huh?” he told ABC’s Lara Spencer on the red carpet. “I married up.”
This could explain the limited public appearances and why her next album has no current release date. She has released three new songs, but has not released a full album since 2005.
